I love perfume!  I don’t wear a lot of different perfumes and seldomly try new ones.  About 4 years ago I tried Elizabeth Arden’s Provocative Woman and the guy I met at the time said that when I wore my ‘usual’ one, I did not smell right.  Some that I’d put on my favourites list would be Obssession, Opium, Knowing, L’Instant de Guerlain.  I think the perfume someone is wearing when we meet them is the smell we’d usually associate with them.  My ‘usual’ perfume for about 20 years now has been Clinique Aromatics.  But about 6 months ago I was in Edgars and tried on Bvlgari Omnia … oh boy, its so sultry and delicious that I bought it for myself.  At the time is cost double what it does now.  Yesterday I got my ‘rewards’ from Clicks and their latest promotions … and I’m sure you guessed it, the Omnia was on special.  So this morning, Jazz and I headed to Clicks to pick it up … what a pleasure – besides being less 25% I got an extra R71.00 off – just my kind of pick me up after the ooopsies of the past week.
Hope you’ve had something delicious come your way … ciao bella.

What a coincidence: I was in Sephora this afternoon smelling different scents. It’s amazing how many varieties there are out there. And you’re right about how we consciously and subconsciously associate certain smells with particular people.

After mindlessly wearing Aramis for years, I started wearing an Aveda cologne for men a while back and love the way it smells on me.

As I’m sure you’d agree, a perfume/cologne smells different after it’s been put on someone than straight out of the bottle: it mixes chemically with our bodies and transforms into something better or worse. The Aveda makes me smell surprisingly attractive.

Hey babe! thanks for coming by my blog.. I signed up as a follower and am lucky #8!! so cool you are from South Africa.. wow, what I love about blogging is connecting to people all over the world and overall, we are all the same, just want to look and feel good and share ideas!!! I love your outfits too.. I struggled with figuring out if I was a pear, a number 8, an hourglass.. so many classifications!! I am curvy, larger hips and more prone to carrying the weight in my upper legs so no matter what label that comes with I have (I THINK) learned how to dress to accentuate and disguise some of that stuff!!

Looking through your outfits I would have to say the outfits I think are MOST flattering on you are the above the knee skirts, the wide belted waists and the tops that are longer (just below your hipbone length). You look great in the darker colors too. So great to meet you.. Are you doing the 30 for 30 challenge this time around? anyway. looking forward to more visits!! please soak up some SA sun for me… its cold and rainy here!!! xoxo Jodi

I just got a bunch of samples from Ulta. Right now I’m wearing Beckham for Her and it smells amazing. My other two faves are Rock’n’Rose by Valentino and Burberry Brit.
