As I was applying my foundation this morning, looking in the mirror, I wondered if women have an unfair advantage over men.  Since we have all these magic potions we apply to our face, contouring, eyeliner, blush, eyelash curlers, mascara and on and on the list goes, it makes for a rather unfair advantage.

Agree or disagree?

I’m curious to hear what others think.

Yes and no. Yes, in the sense that cosmetics and beauty products certainly can enhance one’s appearance — and men don’t use them. No, in the sense that everyone views women and men differently and expects women to try harder to look good. These issues are explored deeply in a new book “Face Value” written by a blogger I know. (I blogged about the book recently and I’m even quoted in it.)

Truthfully! Women use so MUCH these days to disguise themselves. Everything can be lifted and manipulated. Real women are who they are, why try to push the limit to impress someone else? The truth always prevails.

Of course we have = but on the other hand ageing is much less of an issue for men

I agree. Or maybe its just how we perceive it – or they’re less vocal about it overall
