What an amazing day I had yesterday.

Those who know whats going on, know that I’m Dismantling my Rome I’ve built up since returning to South Africa in 2005, with 4 children, a totally uncertain future and heart pounding with terror in my throat.

Now, 11 years later, it’s just me, all my children are residing in the USA and I find myself single, the home I shared with my partner of 8 years sold and I’m about to have to vacate.

So, I made the decision to let go of what I’ve accumulated and to travel light for a while.

I met two wonderful ladies today who came to collect things I’ve sold.  I got to learn about two new people, their struggles, challenges and I realised, we all want to share a little of ourselves, our challenges and our lives.  Neither of them may ever read this post, but I wanted to put it out there in the Universe, thank you for telling me your story.  I have insatiable curiosity to know what people think about life, what their struggles are and how they are viewing our country.

I have to echo Bryant’s quote – “Meeting another human is always a sacred event.”  If you stop for just a moment to ‘see’ the person you’re conversing with, you’ll learn that there is still so much goodness around, that people are desperate to make real connections, even if just for a few minutes.

Have a Happy Hump Day

Powerful post Sista … In our daily rush we don’t slow down enough to really ‘see’ people and when we do we are always surprised by that sacredness! Thanks for the reminder.

Sending love and light as you continue on this courageous journey of yours … You are an example of courage under fire. Love you to the moon and back!!!
