Yes, I’m alive and well and thriving (although today I feel hungover and I’m not sure if I should blame the boxing/ab class I did last night or menopause .. lol).
Last week I celebrated achieving my goal weight at Weigh-Less, at last. How losing 5.3kgs can be so difficult and take so long is almost beyond my comprehension. I think part of the success is the thyroid medication and an extreme sense of wellbeing. I’ve set a goal to drop another four so the battle rages on though.
Of course, cutting my hair is part of my celebration of life and I had an appointment to see Kirsten which just made my success at Weigh-Less all the sweeter. Kirsten is a magician – although she’s now starting to pester me to change my hair style – I’m still enjoying it so much. But I know its time to start looking at change. Any suggestions?
I then celebrated my 48th birthday. How the heck, I was 27 just yesterday and am suddenly 48, I just don’t know how its possible. I took lots of time to just be and enjoy my day. Wonderfully divine.
Graeme gave me perfume, Bulgari Omnia Coral and the boys gave me a ring to which Liam added in extra cash for me to spend as he felt it was not expensive enough!
My family organised a surprise dinner at the Galaxy Grill at The Glen. Its always great to get to see everyone at the same time and enjoy a good meal together. I got money, pjs, tins and gloves … such cute gifts.
My sister Lynn joined me at my 6th Park Run this past Saturday. We had a great walk, good conversation and then enjoyed a coffee together. Different pace, but it was a welcome change. She’s such an amazing lady – I’m so lucky to call her my sister and friend and in so many ways, she’s like a mom to me too. She’s looked after me for as long as I can remember. Thanks sista.
Liam took me for lunch on Friday. Although I wasn’t very hungry, we decided to work up a bit of an appetite first and went shopping for some summer clothing for him. We’d just arrived when I called by the school and asked to collect Jarod as he wasn’t feeling well.
So, I left my young hipster in Edgars and he proceeded to take dressing room selfies to share with me.
He then bought me lunch (and yes, he paid the bill with his own money) at Mugg & Bean. Its so great to get to hang out with my kids one-on-one.
Last night, after trying unsuccessful when Courts and I first joined the gym, I attended my first boxing class with Liam. I am taking some serious strain today! I also did my morning workout as usual. Oscar Chauke is the trainer and man, he worked us well. Feeling all sorts of aches and pains today, but they’re the good kind.
